- Added Merges. A Chunk plus a socketed Implant, or two Implants, merge into a single stronger piece.
- Added Combat phases. Fights run through Hype, Brawl, Redline, and Liquidation. Liquidation deals ramping, un-dodgeable damage that ends stalled fights.
- Added Dodge. Certain Limbs let a Body fully negate an incoming hit, including its riders. A pity system reduces bad-luck streaks.
- Added Dreamcatchers. Rhapsody parasite Implants attach to the enemy Body, siphoning its buffs to you and redirecting some of its attacks back onto it.
- Added Fungal Growth. Gaia's fungal tiles bank stacks as the fight runs, then detonate to damage the enemy.
- Added Starter Body. Choosing two Patrons generates a procedural starting Body, re-rolled each run.
Dev Log
Body Brawl development log. Pre-alpha. Newest first.
- Added Patron pairing. Pick two Patrons before a run; their content forms the Body you build and fight with.
- Added Lives and Trophies. A run starts with a set number of Lives. A win earns a Trophy; a loss costs a Life. Past a threshold, continuing also costs Lives — cash out or keep going.
- Added Gaia Living Board. Gaia Bodies grow plant tiles across empty board cells during combat. As the tiles spread and mature, they periodically grant the Body Regeneration and Thorns.
- Added Rhapsody dream state. Rhapsody Bodies start Dreaming and flip to Awakened at a threshold — cooldowns shorten and the Body takes recurring self-damage.
- Added Evolution. Some Chunks evolve between rounds into a new Chunk.
- Added Status icons. Statuses (Burn, Bleed, Haste, Thorns, and so on) display on your Chunks during combat.
- Added Action-bar audio. Mechanical-keyboard click sounds on press and on release.
- Added Track favoriting. Thumbs-up the current music track; the choice persists between sessions.
- Added Loading-screen composites. Procedurally spliced portraits and animal chimeras on the between-run loading screens.
- Added Desktop themes and wallpapers. The interface can swap between color schemes, and wallpapers unlock from the Black Market and apply from the Start menu.
- Added Auto-combat. Bodies fight automatically with no input. Combat speed is adjustable.
- Added Body assembly. Chunks (Heads, Torsos, Limbs) attach at their ports into one Body. The Body moves as a unit and needs a Head to be fight-ready.
- Added Implant sockets. Implants slot into a Chunk's open cells, adding effects to that Chunk.
- Added Black Market. Between rounds, spend Skrilla on Chunks and Implants. Reroll the stock or sell pieces you no longer need.
